We took the girls for a walk around Sedgwick County Park last night after dinner, ending at the awesome Boundless Playground.
Lexi was running around, having a great time, and spotted these cool swings:
While I was pushing her, a little boy (who was maybe 5 or 6) came over and sat down on the normal swing next to her 'recliner' swing.
This is the conversation that they had:
Boy: "You have to ride in that swing? That swing is for babies! I can be on a normal swing!"
Lexi: "This is the Queen's Swing, because I am the Queen. You are just regular."
Boy: "Well, I can swing higher!"
Lexi: "We're BOTH swinging higher. Mommy, I'm having so much fun!"
Dismayed by the fact that Lexi wouldn't condescend to fight with him, off he stalked.
I love Lexi's confidence.
I want to be like her when I grow up.
"And though she be but little, she is fierce."
