Lately, our little lady's language learning has been limitless! (YAHTZEE!) Whenever she says something particularly amusing, I try to share it with Paul and when I went back to look at e-mails and texts from the past few weeks, I found these "Lexi-isms" as we call them!
- "Not Today!" - she uses this whenever she doesn't want something, like healthy food.
- "Baby sister not home yet!" - when you ask her where her Baby Sister is
- "My Dada in Georgia" - Paul went on a week-long (felt like month-long) business trip to Athens, Georgia
- "Momma, me a busy bee!"
- "Momma, no say 'yeah' - say 'yes' - not 'yeah" (Little Miss Manners)
- "Stop screaming!" - usually from one Barbie doll to the other
- "Momma, Lexi go home and me eat candy canes!" - this was well after Christmas by the way
- On the way to the babysitter's house, when we passed the Zoo, "Me no go to Julie's house today, me go see animals!"
- "Momma, I like Kai-lan! Ni hao!" - for those of you that don't know, 'ni hao' is 'hi' in Chinese.
- While in the other room, listening to Lexi play with her Barbie dolls, I keep hearing, "I'm on a boat!"
- I let Lexi feel the baby kick and she said, "Baby sister, no kicking Momma! That's not very nice of you!"
- "I very naughty" - she's not
- "It's so wonderful"
- "I'm stuck-edy!"
- and last, Lexi informed me while we were reading a story book with a unicorn in it, that a unicorn is just a horse, with a party hat.
