Grandma Saves the Day!

We left Lexi's blankie at Grandma's when we went down for Christmas. Grandma made a little girl very happy by mailing this very important item back to Wichita.

Lexi's Hiccup Pickup

My little girl told me this morning that she had the pick-ups, turns out she meant hiccups.

Happy Birthday Noah!

This is a little late, but we went down to Columbus a couple of weeks ago to celebrate Cousin Noah's first Birthday!!

Lexi had a great time at the party in the bounce -a-rounds (as did her Daddy).

Happy 1st Birthday Noah!

Christmas Sing-Along

Lexi LOVES LOVES LOVES Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. She has started to learn the words to the songs and (kind of) sings along - it's darling.

Here is a clip of her singing to "We are Santa's Elves" and "Jingle Jingle Jingle"

Happy Hurl-o-ween

From Boo . . .

. . . to Blah

We made it to 3 friends' houses, a quick stop at Nana and Papa's, and were on our way to visit more friends when from the backseat we hear a very tiny voice saying "it hurts!"

Moments later, our little ladybug was throwing up in the car (ick!!) and crying (sad!!). We got her home, spent the better part of an hour hosing down everyone and everything, got her to bed, and then we again hear, "it hurts!"

This went on until almost 11 - poor Lexi! She hasn't even gotten to eat any of her Halloween candy yet. Luckily Mommy didn't have school because of the Holy Day, so the girls are having a pajama party in the family room all day complete with crackers, 7-up, and a lot of sheets and towels to cover the carpet just in case!

More catching up

Catching Up

Wow - October certainly got away from me! Here are a few videos to show what Lexi has been up to the past month.

10-17-10 Playing "ball kick" in the backyard. The game is fairly simple - she runs and kicks the ball and then goes to imitate the dog for a while.

Boo at the Zoo

We took Lexi to Night of the Living Zoo this past weekend - and she LOVED it! It helps that she adores (ADORES!) her Halloween costume - especially the wings! She was great about saying "Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank You" as she collected her goodies and let us take lots of pictures. Here are a few from the evening:

Dress Up Time

Saturday night, Lexi played dress up with Nana. These are 8 of the 56 pictures we took. Lexi kept posing for the camera and when we'd say 'all done' she would reply "No! More cheese!" meaning she wanted to say 'cheese' and have her picture taken again.

Count Your Blessings (or Pumpkins)

We have been practicing counting to 10 a LOT lately. Some days, Lexi can say her numbers in order perfectly! Other days (like today) it's more of a random skip-count. She also really, really, REALLY loves pumpkins.

We are also planning on her being a ladybug for Halloween. Since she loves to make animal noises, we weren't sure what to tell her that a ladybug says. We just went with "Ladybugs say Trick-or-Treat" hoping that would prompt her to say 'Trick-or-Treat' come Halloween. It worked great for us, but we may have confused her for life about what sounds bugs make.

Toddler & Tiara

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."
- Coco Chanel

Lexi is in a new phase where she only wants to wear dresses. She also asks for "pretty hair" (having her hair in pigtails or a pony tail) with "wibbas" (ribbons) as soon as she wakes up.

Here are the latest photos of our pretty, pretty princess:
