Stairway to Heaven (or Mommy)

Oh my goodness! Lexi is crawling everywhere! She has just started pulling herself up and is moving so fast, if you blink you'll lose her! We took this video about a week ago of Alexis crawling up the stairs from our family room to the kitchen. We thought it was so amazing that night - now we think "what were we thinking teaching her to crawl up STAIRS???"

We also got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Holding last weekend and Alexis had some fun adventures - we got to go out and look at Grandpa's baby cows and go to Aunt Blair's baby shower for cousin Ethan (due to arrive in April). At the shower, Lexi hung out with more boys - cousins Jack and Grant who are only 6 weeks younger than her.

Happy Hearts!

Over Valentines' weekend, the Holding fam made a day trip up to Kansas City to meet Miss Chloe Patricia Lewis! My sister and her husband welcomed their daughter on February 10th, about a month early. She is gorgeous (but little bitty) and we are so excited about another little girl to play with - someday!

More fun - on Monday, Mommy got to stay home and play with Lexi! She discovered how much fun the kitchen floor can be (much more of a slip and slide surface than carpet), and sang for me all day long. We also discovered that Isabelle Stevens Holding (aka Izzy) is a very jealous dog! Izzy growls whenever Lexi goes near Mommy (no worries - Izzy's all bark, no bite and Lexi thinks it's kinda funny!)

I feel the need . . . the need for speed!

Alexis Theresa is loving life! At 7 1/2 months old she is finally crawling, but still relies quite heavily on her signature rolling to navigate her surroundings. This past week she got to spend some time with Grandma and Aunt Kayla and Nana and Grandpa while the babysitter was on vacation. Everybody seemed to have a great time!

Lexi is waving at everyone (and everything, chairs, lamps, TV's, etc.) and is getting pretty good at clapping her hands whenever we say "YAY!". Her crawling is still a bit unsteady - but it's only day 2! Watch out - Lexi is on the move!
